Bruce Rossmeyer was killed in an accident July 30, 2009. It was reported that while he was on his way to Sturgis he was passing a pickup truck pulling a trailer. The driver had reportedly signaled to turn left and while doing so Bruce hit the drivers side door. Bruce was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from his seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bruce was most known for his facilities at Destination Daytona, but was also known and respected for his charitable work. He opened his first Harley dealership on Bay Street in Daytona Beach Florida. From there he launched a total of 13 Harley dealerships over a 15 year period, making him one of the largest Harley dealers.
Bruce touched the lives of so many people, be they employees, friends, family, customers, or just someone who needed help. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce’s family and friends.
